"Shaping the future one board at a time"

Stand up Paddle boards, well this is soon to be a very hot topic, as I've travelled a fair bit
since the collaspe of Clark Foam. We will have to face it they are here to stay...do I think they have a place in the line up? Not Likely. They have given people who have no experience in surfing the ability to be out there; lacking in the etiquette and skills is dangerous. These boards are huge and heavy, and in the wrong hands will hurt someone, not just the rider. They are great for exploring outter reefs and surfing places that are not ridden by surfers on a regular basis. There's miles of uncrowded beach in Tofino, if there's a line up don't bother! If there's no one out...giv'er! They are also great for an excursion; they give a much better view of what's below you ...way better than a kayak!
I was out in Tofino with some big names in the surf industry last spring, talk about the right way to do things ...Kalama and Naish could probably out surf anyone I know. We paddled across Cox bay on one of the most crowded days in the summer, found our own wave, no one around, and had a blast.. .etiquette will go a long way...
thanks for the pic..
